Oviedo 2031 joins Entrearte in its fifth edition

The Oviedo European Capital of Culture 2031 team visited the fifth edition of Entrearte, the collective exhibition promoted by the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of Asturias, which can be visited until 8 February at the Sala Sabadell Herrero.

Under the motto “art, accessibility and contemporary dialogue”, the exhibition brings together 13 Asturian galleries and proposes a plural route, with no single curatorial discourse, where different perspectives, languages and formats coexist. Each gallery presents the work of a single artist —mostly Asturian—, resulting in an exhibition in which painting predominates, alongside some installations and sculptures.

The list of participating artists includes Iván Baizán, Cristina Avello, Gonzalo García, Mónica Dixon, Pelayo Tamargo, Tania Blanco, Juan Antón, Jorge Fernández Valdés, Martina Rodríguez Morán, Orrite, María Jesús Rodríguez and Nueve. A proposal that seeks to open art to new audiences and strengthen its social dimension through specific mediation programmes and inclusive activities.

Initiatives such as Entrearte help to strengthen the local creative ecosystem, encourage collaboration and place Oviedo and Asturias on the contemporary art map. Values such as accessibility, participation and dialogue with citizens are part of the exhibition’s DNA and connect directly with the vision of Oviedo 2031 as an open, diverse and shared cultural project.
