Meeting in San Sebastián of the candidate cities for European Capital of Culture

Representatives from Oviedo attended the meeting convened in San Sebastián by the Ministry of Culture, where the main guidelines of the process for European Capital of Culture 2031 were explained to the candidate cities. During the meeting, the technical and artistic criteria needed to compete for the title were addressed, as well as the specific conditions to be met at each stage of the candidacy.

This event also allowed the candidate cities to share experiences and ask questions about the foundations of the process, obtaining valuable information for the development of their respective projects. Oviedo reaffirmed its strong intention to continue building a solid candidacy, combining its historical heritage, its vibrant cultural agenda, and the involvement of the local and regional community to position itself as a strong contender for the title.
