The Meidinerz Jazz Club is honoured to welcome a true legend of New Orleans jazz: guitarist and banjoist Carl LeBlanc, joined by Carlos Childe, following the closing vermouth session of Jazz Xixón.

Born in the historic 7th Ward of New Orleans, LeBlanc is the only musician to have performed with both the Sun Ra Arkestra and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, bridging the avant-garde spirit of experimental jazz with the deep roots of his city’s traditional sound. Over his long career, he has collaborated with artists such as Fats Domino, Bo Diddley, Allen Toussaint and The Blind Boys of Alabama — with whom he earned a Grammy Award in 2008.

Alongside him, Carlos Childe —musician, producer and passionate advocate of New Orleans culture— will bring his experience and energy to this special evening. Together, they offer a unique opportunity to experience the sound and soul of New Orleans live, in one of the most anticipated nights of the year at Meidinerz.
