Saxophonist and singer Jorge Viejo, one of the leading figures on Asturias’ music scene, presents his most ambitious project to date: Voices Across the Ocean – The Wonderful Journey of Music from Africa to America. Born from his master’s research, this work is both a musical and personal journey tracing the rhythmic and cultural bridges that connect two continents.

He is joined by the acclaimed German artist Sabine Kühlich —pianist, saxophonist and vocalist with a strong presence in the Central European jazz scene— who has been involved in this adventure since its very beginning. Together, leading an octet of outstanding musicians, they offer a vibrant concert full of history, rhythm and emotion, where jazz becomes a truly universal language.
