This July, Cines Embajadores Foncalada presents Cine n’asturianu, a film series showcasing original version films with subtitles in Asturian. The cycle is a strong commitment to linguistic normalization through the big screen.

Organised in collaboration with Verbéu, Association of Professional Translators into Asturian, this initiative offers a new way to experience contemporary cinema through the lens of the Asturian language.

A pioneering proposal in Oviedo that strengthens the role of Asturian in today’s cultural spaces, inviting audiences to enjoy powerful stories in their original language—accompanied by subtitles in a living, local language.
