Baroque Spring · Forma Antiqva
Baroque Spring blossoms with Forma Antiqva, one of Spain’s most influential early music ensembles. Led from the harpsichord by Aarón Zapico, they present Los elementos (ca. 1705) by Antonio Literes, a theatrical gem of the Spanish Baroque.
The performance features Jone Martínez (Air and Dawn), Lucía Caihuela (Earth and Time), Pilar Alva-Martín (Fire) and Soraya Méncid (Water), bringing to life an allegorical work where nature, myth and emotion intertwine with vivid theatrical flair.
Founded in Langreo over two decades ago by the Zapico brothers, Forma Antiqva combines historical insight with a bold, contemporary spirit. Regular guests at leading venues such as the Teatro Real and the Auditorio Nacional de Música, the ensemble is known for its cohesion, quality and imaginative programming.
An invitation to experience the Baroque in full colour—vibrant, dramatic and very much alive
