The British pianist who has redefined the classical concert experience is coming to Asturias with a unique performance at Laboral Ciudad de la Cultura de Gijón on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 8:00 p.m.

Known for breaking away from traditional formats, James Rhodes combines piano performance with a very personal way of storytelling. He talks directly to the audience, sharing why he chooses each piece and explaining the artistic and emotional context in which it was composed. He also opens up about his own life story and how music —especially Bach— became both refuge and strength.

The program includes works by Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninov, Schubert, and Beethoven. An intense, emotional and unconventional experience designed to make classical music feel alive and personal.
