The Campoamor Theatre once again becomes one of the leading stages for opera with the 79th Oviedo Opera Season, running from September 2026 to February 2027. The programme brings together five works by composers including Mahler, Puccini, Donizetti, Verdi and Mozart, featuring national and international performers and a range of stage productions.

Following the opening in September with Sorrow, a double bill comprising Kindertotenlieder and Suor Angelica, the season continues in October with Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda; in November with Verdi’s Macbeth; in December with Puccini’s Manon Lescaut; and concludes between January and February with Mozart’s Così fan tutte.
