White Night is a major cultural event that began in Paris in 2002 and has since inspired numerous cities around the world to organize their own editions. Its success lies in a simple yet powerful idea: bringing contemporary art and culture closer to everyone, in a unique, free, and open-to-all-night experience.

The aim of this celebration is to make contemporary artistic creation accessible—embracing new languages and cultural disciplines while promoting innovation, citizen participation, sustainability, and cutting-edge creativity, all with a European perspective. White Nights also share the creative use of unique or rarely accessible spaces throughout the year and encourage the exchange of experiences and the international exposure of local artists.

Oviedo joined this global network in 2013 and, since then, has turned White Night into one of the city’s most eagerly anticipated cultural moments of the year. In October 2025, we will celebrate its thirteenth edition—one night to discover, be surprised, come together, and experience the city through culture.
