Vetusta Jazz was founded in 2021 with the aim of adding a new space for jazz to Oviedo’s renowned musical landscape, filling a historical gap in its cultural programming. Based in the iconic Teatro Campoamor, the series is committed to a carefully curated, intimate, and distinctive program that aims to attract major jazz artists with unique, tailor-made performances.
In just four springtime editions, Vetusta Jazz has established itself on the national scene thanks to the presence of top-level artists such as Paquito d’Rivera, Eliane Elias, Toquinho, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Chano Domínguez, Richard Bona & Alfredo Rodríguez, Hamilton de Holanda, Yamandú Costa, Javier Colina, Joan Chamorro & Sant Andreu Jazz Band, and Estrella Morente.
Jazz is once again resonating strongly in the city, and Vetusta Jazz is now part of the cultural heartbeat of Oviedo.
