Film concert: Go West with live music by César Latorre
The Meidinerz Jazz Club brings back one of its most distinctive formats with a new live film concert by César Latorre—an experience where music and cinema merge to create something truly unique.
The selected film is Go West (1925), one of Buster Keaton’s most delicate works. It tells the story of a lost young man who, unable to find his place in the city, ends up on a western ranch, becoming an unlikely yet endearing cowboy.
Far from the spectacle of other silent comedies, the film stands out for its poetic tone, tenderness and subtle humour, blending the absurd with the deeply human.
During the screening, César Latorre will perform a live piano score, creating a continuous dialogue between image and sound that makes each session different.
✨ A chance to rediscover silent cinema live, in a club setting, and through the thrill of improvisation.
