FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Can I submit more than one proposal?
Yes. You may submit more than one proposal, but a maximum of one proposal per applicant may be selected.
Can I submit a proposal if I am not a resident of Asturias?
The call is open to artists and creators who are currently living in Asturias. The residencies will take place in person at schools in Oviedo, so applicants should make sure that travel will not be an obstacle and take any related costs into account when preparing their proposal and budget.
Can an institution submit a proposal on behalf of its students?
This call is designed to facilitate a creative process between an artist, or a collective of artists, and a school. If an institution wishes to take part, we recommend appointing an individual who will be responsible for carrying out the collaboration.
In addition, each artist must submit a detailed budget covering all costs related to their participation in the project, and only one invoice may be submitted per artist or institution. This should be taken into account when applying through an association, institution or other organisation that may already have invoiced Oviedo City Council.
Can I submit a proposal that I have already developed as part of another project?
Pequeñas Acciones por la Amabilidá has a very specific objective. You may submit a proposal that you have previously developed, provided that it is adapted to the requirements of this call and meets the selection criteria in order to be considered among the 12 projects that will be presented to schools.
I am currently registered with SEPE as unemployed. Can I still apply?
As stated in the call, it is essential to be officially registered with the Spanish Social Security system during the implementation of the activities, either as self-employed or as an employee. Failure to meet this requirement will result in automatic exclusion.
Your employment status may be different at the time you submit your proposal, but by applying you undertake to meet this requirement in order to carry out the activities.
How should I include a collaboration with another artist in the budget?
If the proposal is a joint project, meaning that both artists are responsible for and actively involved in its development, each artist must submit a separate budget in the relevant section of the application form. Each budget may be up to a maximum of €3,000, including VAT, personal income tax withholding, fees and materials, and the project must include at least five sessions in order to qualify for the maximum amount available.
If, on the other hand, another person is involved solely as external technical support —for example, a photographer documenting the project without taking part in delivering the workshops— their services are considered an expense within your proposal. In this case, it is not regarded as a collaboration between artists but as a contracted service. The total amount, including your fees and the cost of the external support, must therefore be included in a single invoice and may not exceed the overall limit of €3,000.
