Artists, Cultural Facilitators, and Programmers Gather in Las Regueras to Strengthen Rural Asturias

The communication agency MelodijoPérez, located in Las Regueras, hosted the first sectoral roundtable in the rural area. On the occasion of Oviedo’s bid for the title of European Capital of Culture 2031, visual artists, cultural facilitators, and programmers committed to rural life gathered there.

The aim of these meetings is to promote the creation of projects with a lasting legacy that go beyond the celebration of the Capital of Culture and provide content for rural areas, encouraging the territory itself to generate jobs and opportunities. Cultural identity is presented as a key regeneration project, and these meetings offer an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaborative networks and work together.

One of the features that distinguishes the Asturian territory is its cultural richness. Moreover, the participation of women in rural areas has been fundamental in both transmitting culture and preserving traditions, playing a vital role in the conservation of heritage.
