Asturias will host the 18th edition of the International Iberian Mask Festival (FIMI) from 18 to 21 June, one of the leading events dedicated to masked traditions across the Iberian Peninsula. For the first time since its creation, the festival will take place outside Portugal, with activities held across different locations in Asturias.

The programme includes photography exhibitions, conferences, concerts, craft workshops, film screenings and gatherings exploring traditional masquerades and their role as a shared cultural heritage. The festival’s highlight will be the grand Iberian Mask Parade through the streets of Oviedo on 20 June, bringing together groups from Spain, Portugal and other European countries.
