Xuntanza is an artistic residency within Puxa el Barrio, the Oviedo 2031 programme that brings cultural creation to different neighbourhoods and communities across the municipality.
The project takes place in La Manjoya and is led by Mono Escena in collaboration with the Municipal School of Sustainability. Through theatre and community-based creation, it invites local residents to recover memories, testimonies and stories linked to the former El Fulminato explosives factory, while reflecting on the connections between memory, place, landscape and sustainability.
The sessions will culminate in a theatrical walk through the forest, created from the materials and stories shared throughout the process.
