Oviedo moves forward in its bid with a session focused on European cultural tools

The Talud de la Ería hosted yesterday an open session organised by the Oviedo 2031 team, focused on the European Commission’s cultural programmes: European Capitals of Culture and Creative Europe.
With strong participation from the local cultural sector, the event featured a roundtable discussion moderated by Natalia Álvarez Simó, artistic director of the bid, with contributions from Imanol Galdós (Donostia Kultura), Víctor Domeque (Zaragoza Cultural), and international cultural policy expert Cristina Farinha.
The speakers shared key insights on long-term legacy, citizen participation, collaboration between agents, and the European dimension of cultural projects.
The day concluded with a practical workshop on how to prepare proposals for the Creative Europe programme, led by consultant Manuel García Álvarez.
An event that reinforces Oviedo’s commitment to an open, participatory and Europe-connected bid.
